What is a reference standard?

Avanti provides analytical testing of our products for use as certified reference standards as defined in Good Laboratory Practices , 40 CFR, subpart F -- Test, Control, and Reference Substances, sec. 106.105 (a).

"The identity, strength, purity and composition, or other characteristics which will appropriately define the test, control, or reference substance shall be determined for each batch and shall be documented before its use in a study."

The assays performed to meet this criteria are chosen by your individual quality assurance specifications. Assays not listed may be performed upon prior agreement.

Avanti will perform the assays under written and approved standard operating procedures with appropriately labeled custom packaging of the material to match your usage needs.

Certified reference standard material is accompanied by a certificate of analysis and raw data for you records. Reference standard needs should be discussed with Avanti technical staff prior to ordering to ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices.
