   • Do NOT use screw cap bottles
     with glue under the lid with organic solvents .
     
     Most Commercial storage containers have glue under the lids
     AVANTI'S STORAGE LIDS ARE NOT GLUED
     They are made special with Teflon which is sonicated to the lid
   • Secure any screw cap closure with Teflon tape or stretch tape.
4. Saturated Lipids
   
   • Lipids with no double bonds (14:0)
     
     • 14 is the fatty acid chain
     • 0 is the "double-bond"
   • As powders, they CAN be easily weighed-out
5. Unsaturated Lipids
   
   • Lipids with double bonds (18:1)
     
     • 18 is the fatty acid chain
     • 1 is the "double-bond"
   • As powders, they are hygroscopic
   • They CANNOT be easily weighed-out.
   • They are lyophilized powders NOT free flowing powders.
