Preparation
Phosphatidylinositol products are isolated from commercial soybean
phospholipids and bovine liver extracts. Purification of the phosphatidylinositol
is by high-pressure column chromatography on a variety of solid
supports. The products are washed with EDTA and sodium chloride
to remove excess calcium and produce the sodium salt of the compound.
